Crone Wolf Medicine & Wolf Dog Rescue & Sanctuary's mission is to provide a safe, caring environment for abandoned and abused wolf dogs. At Crone Wolf Medicine Wolf Rescue and Sanctuary, we are committed to providing a safe and loving environment for every animal in our care. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever homes for animals in need.
Taking a midday break, I'm sitting in the shade looking at the dogs, reflecting on, here I am, 7 months since I first came here. A friend told me about a rescue center (wolfdog) that I should see. I came to see and how what a thrill it was and still is! Today being a fasting day, I have time to sit and love on them a little. There is never enough time to be affectionate for so much to do and so many to do for. I love them and most dogs are accepting me. It is so fulfilling and rewarding. I, Gabrielle, will be here for all 32 wolf dogs. Come volunteer and enjoy the rewards.
My experience to volunteer at the wolf dog sanctuary today has truly been an amazing gift. I want everyone to know how the wolf/dogs have touched my heart and filled me with a desire to help as much as I am able.
As I walk the property, I can see how each of the dogs is so well loved and taken care of in a safe and natural environment. Some warm my heart by coming up to the gate, wanting to connect and I know that I could easily fall in love with each and every one of them, as they are all so unique and special and want so much to be loved. From what I can see much help is needed in providing for them and giving them a good home as Charlene has done for all of these many years. I also have had the opportunity to spend time with Charlene hearing about her passion and desire to see the very best happen for her wolfen family. It is rare in this world to see one so fully dedicated to her passion of the wolf/dogs for all of these years. This was a great joy to be a small part of her vision and I am so thankful that Charlene has created a sanctuary where so many can help, grow to love them too and be a part of helping these magnificent creatures.
Although these beautiful beings cannot live in the wild, they indeed have a loving home at the sanctuary. Misguided human choices led them here, but compassionate hearts can now sustain them. The dedication of Charlene and all who can help her offer life to these powerful creatures. On a recent visit i was blessed to witness the healing power of love in their lives. Their species knows that there is no survival without teamwork. We're their pack now. If we each do our part, this noble band will prosper.
I spent an afternoon working on rehabbing an enclosure. When I first arrived, the wolf dogs were in full chorus about strangers, but as we worked, they settled and watched us. It was magical! To be in their presences was one of the highlights of my Colorado trip!

As the primary veterinary care providers for Charlene Wolf and her numerous dogs and hybrids, we are proud to support her and her remarkable endeavors. Our relationship with Ms. Wolf extends over seven years, during which we have conducted annual and bi-annual visits to her premises for comprehensive examinations, preventative medicine, blood draws, and overall habitat evaluations. We perform surgeries and provide medicines, as well as any medical recommendations. Our aim has always been to ensure that her dogs are thriving, healthy, and well-cared for.
Throughout our professional partnership, we have consistently observed the quality care Ms. Wolf provides to her beloved animals. Her kennels offer safe, well-sheltered environments that are maintained as cleanly as possible. The dogs enjoy daily social and physical interactions, ensuring they lead happy, engaging lives. Additionally, they have access to clean water and high-quality nutrition.
Among all the dogs under her care, only two exhibit timidity and anxiety. However, the vast majority of her dogs are incredibly easy to manage. They are well-socialized, amiable, and pleasant to engage with.
In summary, Charlene Wolf's dedication to her dogs is evident in every aspect of her care for them. We wholeheartedly acknowledge her commitment to maintaining a high standard of living for her animals, and we look forward to continuing our support for her endeavors.
