You can help us by supporting our veterinary expenses. We still have six males to neuter and three females to spay. Costs per animal range between $268. and $358. depending on procedure and their weight. On a recent visit to the sanctuary, the vet provided shots for all and blood work for four animals cost over $2000. We are constantly updating and repairing enclosures for our wolf dogs. We can use tarps (6x8 ft. and 10x12ft.0, wood, and metal for roofing the pens. We can use straw bales for warmth during winter. Local folks can deliver items to us as we are too far out for deliveries.
Our wolf dogs consume 800-900 pounds of food (24 bags) a month and averages $1300. We feed them Diamond (any flavor). We also accept bones and raw meat. Local folks can deliver items to us as we are too far out for deliveries.
Given the amount of food the Wolfen eat, it isn't surprising that we buy it by the pallet! Gift cards to Tractor Supply would go a long way to help us feed our friends! Gift cards can be mailed to our address above.
Our sanctuary is off the grid. While the "Wolfen" have a double coats, their human does not, so firewood is essential for the Colorado winter.
We could definitely use the skills of a grant writer to help us pursue grant funding. Currently there are funds budgeted for this position.
